The SSFA is pleased to confirm the below schedule for all SSFA competitions (i.e. for all ages and grades) for 2020:
– The delayed season will commence on the weekend of Saturday 4/Sunday 5 July.
– The season will entail thirteen (13) weekends (with no capacity to make up washed out matches).
– The season will therefore be completed on the weekend of Saturday 26/ Sunday 27 September.
– It has not yet been confirmed whether a Finals Series is possible. This will be decided in conjunction with the Clubs and subject to field availability
** Please note that Council have provided their approval for the aforementioned start and finish dates **
In addition the regrading of a few competition teams to minimise byes (both existing and those apparent if a team has withdrawn) has now been finalised and the draw is being updated as quickly as possible. Please check with your club to see if your team has been impacted.
The Draw for Round 1 and Round 2 have been published (sent to clubs and posted on the website – http://www.shirefootball.com/ssfixtures.asp ) and further Rounds are expected to be finalised as the week progresses.
The 2020 Season is underway.
